At Tri State Nursing, we are looking for a Medication Aide who is passionate about providing comfort and care to patients in their final stages of life. Working in a hospice setting, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients remain as comfortable as possible while supporting families through difficult times.

Position Details:

• Pay: $22 - $23 per hour
• Schedule: Flexible – Choose your own hours
• Shifts Available: Days, nights, and mid-shifts (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts)
• Employment Type: Full-time

Your Role:

• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time
• Monitor patient responses to medications and report any concerns to nursing staff
• Provide comfort and support to patients and their families, treating them with empathy and kindness
• Assist with daily living activities and help maintain a peaceful, dignified environment
• Collaborate with hospice nurses and care teams to uphold the highest standards of care

What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for hospice care and the ability to provide emotional support to patients and their families
• Active Medication Aide certification in Iowa
• Prior experience in hospice, long-term care, or a similar setting is preferred
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate nature
• Ability to work independently while being a supportive team player

Requirements: 

• CMA certification in the state of IA 
• CNA is preferred but not required
